My favorite thing about being a photographer is the ability to capture our own memories, like this super fun family road trip to South Dakota!
The whole extended family joined us to drive west to the Black Hills. It was my first time and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. Gosh, sometimes I forget just how big and beautiful this country is.
We made lots of stops including Sioux Falls and the famous Wall Drug, but my two favorites were definitely the Badlands and Custer State Park.
This was such a great option for the little ones. They LOVED climbing everything at the badlands and hiking through creeks and valleys at Custer. Lake Sylvan was also an incredibly beautiful spot for a picnic and some swimming! Another highlight was the wildlife loop. We saw big horned sheep, bison, burros, and prairie dogs!
