I met Melissa and her family at Wayzata Beach near Minneapolis for their family session on a lovely May evening. It was so warm and the beach was filled with the sounds of happy kids!
Melissa, Sam, and their little one were dressed like springtime. Baby A was wearing the cutest outfit with yellow pants, a dress shirt, and a tiny blue hat. SO ADORABLE! The colors of this whole gallery just feel so bright, warm, and light! Here are some of my favorites!

Melissa’s parents also just happened to come for a visit that weekend, so we took pictures with them too! It was so special for me to take photos of baby A with his grandparents. They are originally from Hong Kong and speak Cantonese (like me!) so it was extra special for me to get to call them “gung gung” and “por por” just like my daughter does with my parents. There isn’t a huge population in the Twin Cities from Hong Kong, so it made my heart so happy to meet this family!
